Pre- Production: Trailers
Before Tangerine Productions start the trailer, research into this form of media should be made for high production standard.
Trailers are film advertisements for feature films that will be exhibited at a cinema in the future. Trailers are seen in a variety of media technologies such as on the internet, television and cinemas. The internet, a growing technology, is a brilliant way to advertise a film because it's an easy way to advertise a trailer and millions of people can view it. Whereas, trailers viewed at a cinema are typically watched before a film. This allows the audience to see the high quality the film will be in; encouraging more to view the film at the cinema.
Genre conventions are themes that a plot is based around and made to appeal to fans of this genre. There are many genres such as fantasy, science fiction, comedy, romance, period, crime, action, adventure, horror and many more. Tangerine Productions are currently filming a trailer for a film of the horror genre.
Horror films are purposely unsettling movies that try and raise the audiences fear, disgust and horror . Typical horror films feature jump scenes that make the audience startled through the means of fiction that is closely related to reality e.g. obscure murders, supernatural happens and morbidity. This means the film frequently overlaps with the fantasy, science fiction and thriller films. Horror films deal with the viewer's nightmares of the unknown and disturbing fear .
